WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – The Cape Fear Fair and Expo is making a comeback after being canceled last year due to the pandemic.

This year’s show features two new rides, including the “Itsy Bitsy,” a Ferris wheel with transparent gondolas, and the “Skyhawk,” a ride that takes you 100 feet in the air on your stomach.

Tickets for the fair are $ 22. The price includes unlimited rides, parking and access to the fair’s education areas.

Fair Director Skip Watkins said the event is about family fun in a nice, clean and safe way.

“We have, by the grace of God, touched wood, this will be our 31st Powers Fair [Great American Midways] and we haven’t had a trip-related accident yet, ”Watkins said.

Doors will open Friday at 5 p.m. at Wilmington International Airport. The fair will be open every day from October 29 to November 7.
