RiverWorks is a fun summer destination for all ages!

RiverWorks is home to a brewery and restaurant as well as a sports, adventure and entertainment complex. It is truly a one-of-a-kind destination located along the banks of the Buffalo River.

There are a variety of activities to choose from when you visit, from Ferris wheel rides and ziplining to kayak rentals and more!

1. Big Wheel

Experience the beauty of Buffalo’s waterfront from a whole new perspective. The Buffal-“O” Ferris Wheel is one of the newest and greatest additions to RiverWorks and is open to all ages.

Single rides with 3-4 rounds cost $10 each.

2. Open skate

Roller skating was popular in the 50s, 70s and 80s and it’s coming back into fashion. For adults, skating can bring back feelings of nostalgia for days spent at the rink. For teens and kids, this is a fun new activity to try! If you’re looking for some old-fashioned fun, plan on going to Open Skate.

Open Skate is $5 per person. You can bring your own skates or rent them for $5 per person.

3. Ropes course + Zip line

This two-level high ropes course is an exciting challenge if you’re up for it! Once you’ve conquered the first level, you can head to the upper course and zipline to the finish line!

The ropes course is available every day, rain or shine. All participants must be at least 7 years old and 42 inches tall to participate. Passes for the lower course are $20, with an additional $10 to try the upper course which includes a zip line!

4. Kayak rental

Explore Buffalo’s waterfront by kayak! When paddling the river, you can really enjoy the sights and sounds around you. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the sun this summer. Plus, it’s a good workout.

Rentals start at $25 per hour for a single kayak and $30 per hour for a tandem kayak. All rentals include a life jacket, paddle and safety whistle. You will get wet, so be sure to bring extra clothes and/or a towel.

5. Ales and Axes

Who would have thought that throwing axes and drinking would become so trendy? But, it is most definitely a thing.

If you are looking for a more active way to enjoy a beer or a few beers, this activity is for you! It’s especially fun for groups, whether you’re looking for a team building activity to try with your colleagues, something different to do with your bachelor or bachelorette party, or a night out destination for you and your partner. .

A one-hour reservation for groups of 2-5 people is $24 per person. A two-hour reservation for groups of 4-12 people is $38 per person. Each session includes help/advice from the ax-perts!
