The BMW i4 draws its energy from a large 83.9 kWh lithium-ion battery paired with an electric motor that sends power to the rear wheels.
BMW India has launched the all-electric i4 sedan at an introductory price of ₹69.90 lakh (old showroom). The vehicle is the brand’s latest pure electric vehicle in India following the launch of iX late last year. The car is available in two variants – eDrive 40 and M50 xDrive.

The BMW i4 electric sedan is based on the automaker’s CLAR architecture and is the modified all-electric iteration of the 4 Series Gran Coupé. The vehicle features an imposing kidney-shaped grille, while the front fascia features stylish corona LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.

At the rear, the BMW i4 features sleek, flowing LED taillights, as well as a black accent on the lower bumper. It features eye-catching sporty alloy wheels as well as a stylish blue accent on the lower profile near the door sill.

Dimensionally, the BMW i4 electric sedan measures 4,783mm in length, 1,852mm in width and 1,448mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,856mm.

Inside, the BMW i4 features a dual-screen curved display consisting of a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The BMW i4’s instrument cluster and infotainment screen are powered by BMW’s latest Drive 8 user interface. The automaker offers OTA software updates for this digital infotainment system.

Other features inside the BMW i4 include wireless charging, automatic climate control, electronically controlled front seats with cooling function, electric sunroof and a host of connected car features.
