Perspective of the carousel parking system in the e-Parking project

An important project in the category of innovative start-ups is BUTL – a service for providing immediate drivers to car owners through an app on a smart device. This service brings more convenience to clients in their HR designation and saves money as they do not need to hire a full time driver.

Another notable project is 3-Parking – the solution for intelligent parking of cars and vans with either a carousel parking system having different designs for different types of vehicles or a Tor parking system having a large capacity. The solution is based on a technological platform developed by e-Parking Group. Via this platform, users can easily find an available parking space. All systems in the solution can automatically receive and return vehicles via their facial recognition technology, fingerprint sensor and OTP codes.

Other innovative solutions are HomeOffers – a technology finance platform to help people buy a home, JobWay – a career counseling and guidance app.

The I-Star 2021 Organizing Council has said that this year there are plenty of sponsors ready to help the startup community.

For example, Saigon Hi-tech Park Incubation Center (SHTP-IC) has successfully helped 22 enterprises to obtain Science and Technology Enterprise Certificate and 110 Intellectual Property Rights registrations, of which 60 have obtained certificate. SHTP-IC has formed a network of over 100 experts and 30 international and national partners to provide advice and services for innovative startup projects.

The venture capital fund Expara Vietnam – Leading Venture Creation, with its 20 years of experience in training and advising startups globally, has also made a significant contribution to supporting the startup community in Vietnam.

Launched for the fourth time, the I-Star Awards have been regarded as a prestigious award among HCMC’s innovative startup community due to its practicality, utility and contribution to society.

The selection of notable projects is based on the votes of social media users in the preliminary round before allowing renowned judges to provide their comments and assessment. Excellent projects are frequently updated on the official I-Star site to be quickly disseminated and shared on social media, thereby attracting more public attention.

The awards ceremony is expected to take place as part of the “HCMC 2021 Innovation, Start-ups and Entrepreneurship Week” (WHISE 2021) to present prizes to 12 winners in four competition categories .
