Hunter Valley Gardens is gearing up for its coolest event yet

Embrace the freezing temperatures and make the most of the frigid air as Hunter Valley Gardens celebrates the return of its coolest event, Snow Time in the Garden.

The month-long winter show kicks off Saturday, June 25 and runs through Sunday, July 24.

In other words, it’s the perfect school holiday activity for the adventurous and well-behaved members of the family.

“We are thrilled to have Snow Time in the Gardens in 2022,” said event manager Amanda Andrews.

“After last year’s COVID lockdown impacted our visitors to Sydney, we have prepared the perfect winter spectacle for families to enjoy.

“This event is a more immersive experience than ever, with a range of activities for young and old, including bobby seals for junior skaters (6 and under) and the Snow Play Zone, guests will feel really transported to Antarctica.

“It’s also an easy day out for families during the school holidays which provides unlimited fun and memories to last a lifetime, especially for the little ones who have never seen snow before.”

So, do you consider yourself more of an ice skater?

Show off your best twirling skills at the ice rink with a section dedicated to the little ones.

Increase the competition and compete against your family members by hurtling down a huge 45m long ice toboggan run.

Or dodge the snowballs and make snow angels in the artificial snow play area.

If that’s not enough to whet your appetite, be entertained by the traditional Venetian carousel, Teacup Ride, Swing Car and Superslide, or take to the skies to enjoy the 25m Ferris wheel that overlooks the snow-covered gardens .

Take full advantage of the winter spirit from 2-4pm each day during school holidays with entertainment by traveling performers including stuffed penguins, snowmen and adorable polar bears.

All this fun is sure to leave you and your little ones hungry, so be sure to visit one of the many food stalls near the snow play area for hearty food and treats. warming winter treats to refuel.

With plenty of winter-themed photo opportunities dotted around the gardens, be sure to explore and capture the moment.

Stroll through the Snow Grotto and Arctic Amphitheater to see animatronic displays of all your favorite snowy animals.

The activities will take place every day from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between June 25 and July 24.
