Feuerbach creates a special Porsche 911 GT3 dubbed the GTL Coupe

A little-known company by the name of Feuerbach has previewed a special model based on the Porsche 911 it is developing, dubbed the GTL Coupe.

Feuerbach was founded in 2019 by former Nissan Europe chief designer Christopher Reitz. Reitz also happens to be the grandson of Ferdinand Porsche and set up the company to design and produce a series of low-volume, hand-built cars that pay homage to the Porsche family.

The first of these models will be the Feuerbach Porsche GTL Coupé. It is based on a 997-generation 911 GT3 and although it will share the same chassis, it will sport a unique carbon-fiber body designed by Reitz and the company’s design team in Barcelona.

Teaser images show that the GTL Coupe will feature a particularly striking rear end with unique LED taillights and a distinctive engine cover in place of the normal rear window. The sports car will also feature unique front and rear quarter panels and rock a bespoke bumper with a carbon fiber diffuser.

The German company will also work its magic on the engine of the GT3. In place of the car’s original 3.8-litre flat-six, a hand-built naturally aspirated 4.3-litre engine will develop 540 bhp at 8,500 rpm. Feuerbach will also offer more powerful versions of the same engine. This mill will be mated to either a six-speed manual or a PDK transmission, both handcrafted by an unnamed Porsche supplier.

A host of other performance upgrades will be available to customers, including new braking and suspension components.

A single image of the interior of the Porsche GTL Coupé has also been released. It shows off a unique carbon fiber transmission tunnel, carbon fiber door panels and a plethora of new materials for owners to customize. Those looking for the ultimate in performance will also be able to order the GTL Coupe with a competition-ready roll bar, seats and harnesses, and race-ready brakes, suspension and wheels.

Prices for the Porsche GTL Coupe are expected to start at $550,000, excluding bespoke customer options and local taxes.
