After several teaser images and videos, Toyota has finally decided to unveil its all-new Urban Cruiser Hyryder midsize SUV in India. The SUV is going to be placed right above Urban Cruise which is basically a rebadged version of Brezza. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the segment. Toyota did not reveal pricing for the SUV, but they did share details regarding the Hyryder SUV’s features and engine options. Here we have an image gallery of the recently unveiled Toyota Hyryder compact SUV.
Starting at the front, the Toyota Hyryder gets an all-new design. It gets a premium SUV look up front with a chrome line running through the center of the front grille. The chrome lines meet the two LED DRLs on each side.

The Hyryder’s front grille also features a unique acrylic crystal grille.
The bumper of the Hyryder SUV is adorned with a muscular or bold design.
The headlights are placed on the bumper and they are LED projector units.
The lower part of the bumper receives a wide trapezoidal grille with honeycomb design elements.
As for the side profile, the Hyryder adopts a proper SUV stance with square wheel arches and black cladding around the underside. There is a clear shoulder line on the side profile of the car.
The car comes with sleek and dynamic 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
As we move rearward, the SUV’s boxy design becomes much more noticeable.
One of the first things one would notice in the rear are the sleek and stylish LED taillights. A chrome strip also connects the rear lights
Reversing lights and turn signals are placed on the rear bumper. The make and variant of the Hyryder is mentioned on the lower part of the tailgate. A rear skid plate is also visible on the lower part of the bumper to add a muscular SUV look.
Moving in, the Toyota Hyryder comes with a sumptuous two-tone interior. It is finished in black and brown.
There are soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door pads. The seats have a two-tone leatherette upholstery and they are also ventilated in the front. The rear seats also benefit from a recline function.
A drive mode switch is also available in the Hyryder. The driver can switch between snow and sport modes.
Hyryder also has a wireless phone charging feature on the center console.
There’s a standalone touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It also shows the Hyryder’s 360 degree camera feed.
Toyota Hyryder also gets the head-up display.
The Hyryder’s steering wheel gets buttons to control the infotainment screen and activate cruise control. It’s a tilt and telescoping steering wheel with leather wrapped around it.
Toyota also offers connected technology that allows owners to control various car features via a smartphone.
The instrument cluster on Hyryder is an all-digital unit.
The SUV also has a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and many other features.
Toyota Hyryder will be offered with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine. This engine would come with a strong and mild hybrid system depending on which variant you choose. This engine will be accompanied by a 5-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
