The 2022 Toyota GT86, jointly developed with Subaru Corporation, is the successor to the Toyota 86 and the Scion FR-S. All new but instantly familiar
With its polished aerodynamic profile, the GR 86 makes a comeback with an elegantly new but familiar design, both on the outside and inside. The style of the new model is more contemporary and more polished. The car has lost the gangly awkwardness of the older generation, swapping it for a taut, sleeker form with styling cues from the ’90s automobiles. Although the new 86 did not receive fuel economy ratings from the EPA, the the previous generation got 32 MPG highway ratings, 24 MPG in town and 27 MPG combined when paired with the six-speed automatic.
The security entourage and a bargain price
The previous 86 did not offer a lot of driver assistance features. However, the company offers a host of safety technologies for the new model and an optional automatic transmission. Active safety features include automatic rear braking, lane departure warning with sway warning, adaptive cruise control, pre-collision system and Automatic main beam headlights. With these safety assist features now standard on all automatic transmission models, customers can drive wherever they want without too much worry.
Toyota has yet to reveal the official price, but the GR 86 is expected to start at around $ 30,000 when it goes on sale. The refined Premium model offers a series of fascinating standard equipment, including Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and 18-inch wheels, aluminum pedal covers, a rear spoiler and leather upholstery.
With a sharp chassis and more power than the outgoing model, the 2022 GR 86 is the ecstasy of any driver.
